Amjed Osman is a first-generationSudanese American entrepreneur.Amjed immigrated to the United Statesthrough the US Diversity Visa, popularlyreferred to as “the lottery”, where heand his family settled in Columbus,Ohio.

A graduate of The Ohio State University,Amjed earned his BSBA with aspecialization in Finance from the FisherCollege of Business. Amjed began hiscareer serving clients at Ernst & Young in their Financial Services Office where his group was responsible for Regulatory, Compliance, andStrategy projects for the top investment banks, asset managers, and commercial banks. Amjed thenwent on to join an Ed-Tech Startup called Lingo Live where he was responsible for managing andgrowing all strategic client relationships for the business. He was responsible for Fortune 500companies including Meta, Google, and Salesforce.

While an early employee at Lingo Live, Amjed became a Co-Founder of Inside the Green Room LLC, amedia company focused on helping professional athletes tell their own stories. The company createdcontent for television, digital video, audio podcasting, live events, and social media. At 24 years old,Amjed, alongside, Journalist and Reporter, Harrison Sanford, and 3X NBA Champion, Danny Green,scaled the business to a media company that sold advertising and sponsorship deals to brandsincluding Jack in the Box, Dove Men+Care, Canada Goose, and Recharge With Milk. The companyhosted their shows on Spectrum SportsNet, NBC Sports, and SiriusXM. The programming wasregularly featured on the leading sports networks, ESPN, CBS Sports, NBC Sports, to name a few.

Following his tenure at Lingo Live, Amjed joined LinkedIn where he was responsible for enterpriseclients as part of LinkedIn’s Sales Solutions business. Amjed served as a strategic partner to Sales &Marketing teams helping them execute their go-to-market strategies.

Amjed then became a Co-Founder of GreenLight Venture Partners, a venture fund empoweringinnovative entrepreneurs through collective economics, expertise, and community. Amjed serves onthe Alumni Board at the Ohio State University Fisher College of Business and the Board of Directorsfor See Brilliance, a Non-Profit dedicated to teaching minority students in underserved communitiesabout STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
