Soo is a 20-year veteran of the technology industry who currently leads PNC’s Security Policy, Governance and Assessment service in support of the CISO. She held previous leadership roles at Verizon Communications, Aetna, Highmark Health, and Allegheny Health Network. Soo has expertise in building defense, blocking, and tackling services, leading investigations, securing technology platforms, and designing engineering security solutions.

Her passion is Security by Design, and she is an advocate for the secure adoption of innovation and emerging technology.  Her department’s mission is to use Security Policy, Compliance and Governance to strengthen the cybersecurity posture of PNC and its partners.  She previously served as Highmark Health’s Security Fusion Center Director, Aetna’s Forensic Investigation and Incident Response Leader, and Verizon Board of Directors Secretary. 

Soo is an active mentor of women and support organizations that prioritize diversity and inclusion in the workforce.  She serves local nonprofits through board and volunteer roles and has created diversity and inclusion engagement practices across the industry. Originally from Los Angeles, CA, she went to school in New York, NY and Washington, DC, and now resides in Pittsburgh, PA.
